Titan Traction Master Limited Slip Differentials

Titan Traction Master and Traction Master Pro limited slip differentials are an advanced clutch plate style differential designed for use in road and rally applications. Titan's unique friction coatings make Traction Masters the smoothest and most progressive limited slip differential units available today.

Sintrak Clutch Plates

Titan Traction Master differentials are available with a choice of friction materials. Firstly there's Sintrak, a high performance sintered coating which offers a number of benefits over standard steel plates used in other differentials:

• Improved Driveability

  Sintrak ensures the unit increases the load in the slipping wheel in an extremely smooth and linear manner, improving feel and driveability.

• Increased Torque Transfer

  Sintrak coated clutch plates are able to transfer significantly more torque across the rear axle to the wheel with higher levels of grip than steel plated differentials, helping you get more power down when exiting a corner.

• Extremely Low Clutch Plate Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH)

  Due to the frictional characteristics of steel, limited slip differentials that have steel on steel clutch plates can experience high levels of NVH in use. The advanced friction characteristics of Sintrak significantly reduce, and in some cases eliminate, these problems.

• Wear Resistance

  The unique sintrak coating has extrememly good durability, which ensures plate wear and the associated pre-load drop off is kept to a miniumum, and any wear that does occur is consistent and doesn't ruin performance.

Carbon XT Clutch Plates

Titan's Carbon Fibre friction material, Carbon XT, offers all the benefits of Sintrak, but takes driveability and noise and vibration reduction to a new level. We recommend these are used in high powered and heavy vehicles.

Traction Master Pro

Traction Master differentials are also available in Traction Master Pro specification. Traction Master Pro differentials feature lightened housings, with lightweight materials used where possible in place of steel. Traction Master Pro differentials come with Titan's carbon fibre clutch plates as standard. Note that not all Traction Master differentials are currently available in Pro spec.
